Makuta gen 2; “What do you want from me? when I get down from here i’ll-”

???;“Do exactly as I say, let me get to the point, I want you to kill some people for me, and your perfect for the job.”

Makuta gen 2;”I don’t take orders from the likes of you!”

???;”Your not exactly in a position to negotiate, but I like that maybe if you ask nicely...”

Makuta gen 2;”Fine…may I ‘please’ be let down…”

???;There, that wasn’t so hard now was it? you look a bit ‘hung up’, if you ask me you wouldn’t be there if you had just behaved the first time.”

???;“Now, that’s settled, let me explain this in a way that even someone like you should understand.”

???;”A history lesson if you will, when I deposed the great spirit and took over this Universe I was like ‘wow I did it who would’ve guessed L’il old me would rule the world.”

thrall;”your lash, my lord”

???;”Thank you.”

???;”First order of business was to toss Mata-nui and that accursed mask he was in into space, but my BROTHER (Makuta’s restraints are slashed and he falls to the ground*) just had to get in my way, again! like he always does!!”

???;And then he’s got all the glory again, I would continue but i’ve got things to do you ready to negotiate?”

Makuta gen 2;”…”

???;”Excellent lets discuss the terms of our agreement.”

Makuta gen 2;”No, The only agreement we will be discussing...”

???;”So the first task will be…”

Makuta gen 2;”… Will be your demi-”

???;”I want you to go kill my brother, he’s a tall fellow, wears white and grey? big hammer, wears a mask that should have been mine, and I still want it.”(*Makuta struggles to free his weapon from the strangers grasp*)

(Makuta is tossed forward in-front of his captor*)???;”Last I saw him ,he was merging himself with that toa of light who I thought I killed earlier.”

???”Oh how I hate my brother, he humiliated me eons ago, he took what was rightfully mine and left me to rot while he was taking in the renown, being the favored child as always!”

Makuta gen 2;”*choked burning gasps*”

???;”SO I WANT YOU TO GO AND BEAT HIM UNTIL HE’S NOTHING BUT A BROKEN HUSK, BRING HIM TO ME SO THAT I CAN TEAR HIM TO PIECES OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND BRING WHAT IS RIGHTFULLY MINE!!”

Makuta gen 2;” Please, I yield I will do as you command, no more ,who…what…are…you?”

???;”Good question…what do you think masky? should we?”

Makuta gen 2;(stares in disbelief*)

Karzahni:”Eh I suppose, I haven’t properly introduced myself I am, God-Emperor Karzahni, but you my dearest acquaintance can call me…Karzahni.”

(*hefts makuta up with his chain*)Karzahni;”Now theres no need to be so down, My apologies I tend to get…’carried away’ sometimes, but you’ll love what i’ve got next.”

Karzahni;”As a God, I can grant wishes, you do this task for me and I can give you anything you want, riches, power your own island, water toa slaves…you name it, especially the last two!”

Karzahni;”This opportunity to curry my favor is a once in a lifetime offer.”

Makuta gen 2;”And if I refuse?”

Karzahni;”Hmm well I suppose i’ll just destory your mind and make you another one of my servants, but that would be such a huge waste, now what do you say, we got a deal?”

Makuta gen 2;…

Karzahni;”C’mon no strings attached ,no messy surprises, at least not for you…heh heh, that was a joke.”

Makuta gen 2;”Fine, you have a deal.”

Karzahni;”Excellent this is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship, I can feel it.”

(*hours later*) Karzahni:”So this is you.”

Makuta gen 2:”I do not look like that!!”

karzahni;”From this angle you do, and lets be honest you never looked great to begin with.”

Karzahni;”And here, is the son of a brakas monkey that your gonna destroy…”

Makuta gen 2;”Who is that next to him?”

Karzahni;”Shut up, what do I pay you for?”

Makuta gen 2;”You….don’t.”

Karzahni:”You pull this off and you will get your wish you wanna be a giant monster? done, you wanna new hammer you already got it, you want to support this website in making new content for viewing in the future even though nobody even knows this site even exists? great!!!”

Makuta gen 2;…

Karzahni;”Just…don’t wish to be cooler than me capìche?”

Karzahni;”Now go, and don’t return until you have my brother, or whats left of him.”

Artakha;”So, your the makuta who’s been attacking my stronghold for weeks.”

Artakha;”What do you want from me that’s so important, and why? surely your whoever you serve will not be happy when you come back empty handed again.”

Makuta 2;“I serve no one, only myself…”

makuta 2;”…and you are in. my. way!”

(the blow flings Artakha a short distance away from Makuta)

Artakha;”That may seem so, but I don’t need a Kanohi rode to know your hiding something from me.”

Artakha;”Tell me Makuta, why do you serve?”

(Artakha smashes Makuta into a pool of water nearby)

(Makuta lies dazed in the watery crater as Artakha approaches)

Artakha;”Your potential is wasted in following your would-be ‘master’ you can either turn around and leave in peace or you’ll leave in pieces, your choice…I suggest the first option.“

Makuta 2;”You are correct then…”

Artakha:”Speak then, my patience wears thin…”

Makuta 2;”I indeed have a master…”

Makuta;”…but you will never know him!”

(Makuta throws a golden skull spider that tries to latches on and saps Artakha’s strength)

(Makuta grabs Artakha and throws him to to the other side of the courtyard)

(Artakha’s ears are ringing from the impact as Makuta drags his maul through the rainy soil)

(Artakha finds that he is unable to get up as the world spins in his vision)

(He is unarmed, there are no weapons nearby and no one is around to help)

Makuta approaches, his armor and weapon covered in mud, his orange accents glow brighter as he comes closer and closer)

Makuta 2;”Karzahni was a fool to think that you were a threat, the so called ‘brother’ of the mad tyrant…pathetic.”

(Makuta’s weapon disassembles to leave only the sharp end)

Artakha:”Karzahni? my brother sent you?”

Makuta 2;”With your Mask of Creation, I can overthrow that craven fool, ’God-emperor’ hah, when I control this world no one, not even my own brother can stop me!”

Ekimu;”Leave him alone brother! begone! you will never rule anything ever again for as long as I draw breath!!”

(Makuta’s mask of ultimate power is knocked off his face by Ekimu’s hammer)

Ekimu;”…and for as long as I live, you will stay a memory.”

Ekimu:”Master Artahka are you alright? I heard the fighting and came to help but was caught up fighting some of his minions, i’m sorry I couldn’t help sooner.”

Artahka;”No, i’m alright, i’ve had harder blows from kane-ra bulls, and it wasn’t your fault, the fault is mine for thinking I could fight him alone.”

Ekimu;”So what do we do with his mask? it should be destroyed.”

Artakha;”Now now my apprentice, when it is time I will know what to do with it, I trust you will too.”

(flashback ends)

Artakha;”It is time Ekimu, the Mask of Ultimate Power must be destroyed…”

Ekimu;”Is it really time? has the prophecy begun?”

Artakha:”Yes, and i’m afraid there isn’t much time…”

Artakha;”Now go we must not waste time, the prophecy must come to pass.”

“The Mask-maker of his home island, Okoto and by extension the Bionicle gen. 2 universe. Ekimu was the master craftsman of his world, but that changed when he received a message from Artakha, a mask maker from another dimension asking for his help, evidently, Ekimu’s brother, the Makuta of his world had disappeared weeks prior and had shown up laying an endless siege on Artakha’s workshop. Always the noble-hearted guardian, he embarked on a journey to the one place that the master builder had shown him; the summit of the tallest mountain on Okoto. There, he entered the portal and since then, has assisted in defending the last safe place in Artakha’s universe from both his malicious brother and the one who pulls the strings.”

“I once had dozens of eager assistants at beck and call from all across this universe that we call home, but out of all of them Ekimu stood out from them all, not because of his powers, but because of his heart and spirit.”-Artakha

Makuta 2;”So my brother works with the Architect, the fool.”

Makuta2;”He must not destroy the mask I will see that, even if I must call upon those who should not see the light of day...”

Makuta2;”…and so I call upon you my shadow…Umarak!”

Umarak;”At once my lord, your will be done.”

Makuta2;”Come forth my dark warrior! you are needed for a task of mine...”

(umarak phases through the walls with his mask of shadows)

Umarak:”What do you command of me Lord Makuta?”

Makuta2;”My brother seeks to destroy the mask of ultimate power, destroy him and bring. me. the. mask.”

Umarak;”It shall be done, my lord’s will be manifest!”

(a shady figure watches from the background)

Ekimu;”I can’t believe that the prophecy has begun, Master Artahka never told me much about it.”

Ekimu;”Other than bits, I only remember the first verse; [On shadows strike, the maker has chosen, when the demon clock’s time strikes right all shall come to light, the traveler from the beginning shall bear witness to the reckoning...]at least I think that’s how it goes.”

Ekimu;”The traveler part makes sense but what is the demon clock and the reckoning, is the demon Karzahni? or something much much worse.”

(Umarak lurks just behind Ekimu ready to strike)

(the hunter readies his shot)

(Umarak fires just as Ekimu is about to smash the mask of ultimate power, the bolt hits the unprepared maker in the back knocking everything to the floor)

(Ekimu lies weakened on the ground as Umarak approaches)

(the hunter draws his jagged vorpal edge)

Umarak;”So, the maker is soon to meet his maker, how poetic, Makuta my lord said to kill you but he never said to I couldn’t take anything for myself so…”

Umarak;”I’ll be taking that pretty mask, the rest of you will make a fine trophy on me!”

???;”Omea wa mo*-”

*you are alread-

???”-oook, not trying that anymore, ok ok, not the mask, not the mask.”

Umarak;”The first rule of warfare, is to be ready for anything to go wrong and adapt.”

???;’”So, whats the second rule?”

Umarak;”Why should I tell that to you? your already another trophy on my belt”

Ekimu;”…Never turn your back on your victim!”

Umarak;”urraahhkkk!!”

???;”Speaking of trophies…”

???;”Five bucks his next line will be “I will return and when I do you will pay!”

Ekimu;”I’m sorry,five what now?”

Umarak”I will return, and when I do you will pay!”

(umarak falls off edge and disappears into the shadows)

(Ekimu and the stranger peer off the edge but find no body)

Ekimu:”Thank you stranger, I would have been a pelt for that sadist if you hadn’t shown up, tell me stranger what is your name?”

???;”my name? my name is…” <to be continued

(awkward silence)

Sylus”C’mon author, don’t pull that cliffhanger crap with me and get on with the story this web-story ain’t writing itself!”

author”Sorry…”

Sylus”Ok coolio lets get on with it my name is Sylus, and you own me 5 bucks”

Ekimu:”Who are you talking to?

Ekimu:”Wait the mask where is the mask of ultimate power?”

Sylus:”Dunno,is it that important?”

Ekimu:”It IS important! that mask is dangerous we cannot keep it intact!”

Sylus:”hey, I’m sure its no big deal…”

Ekimu:”No big deal NO BIG DEAL? do you hear yourself right now?”

Sylus:”yeah sure I sound fine.”

Ekimu:”This is an emergency!”

Sylus:”Why? because you misplaced one mask?”

Ekimu:”no, no maybe it was lost under a table or something.”

Sylus:”Is this it?”

Ekimu:”Or maybe it broke in the struggle but the prophecy says nothing about it being broken in conflict.”

Sylus:”Or maybe its right here, and what prophecy?”

Ekimu:”By the great spirit,if Umarak took the mask then we are all doomed! Mata Nui protect us…”

Sylus:”Are you serious right now?”

Sylus:”IF YOU COULD STOP BEING SUCH A DRAMA QUEEN FOR A SECOND, ITS. RIGHT. HERE! LOOK! LOOK!”

Ekimu:”Im being a what now? I don’t understand these strange Words your using.”

Ekimu:”The mask, you have it! but how did you fool the hunter into leaving empty-handed?”

Sylus;”Fooled him? what no he just picked up some ugly looking mask and left with it…”

Ekimu:”You mean the Mask of questionable decision making?”

Sylus:”…Really? well…

Sylus:”Too bad for him I guess...”

(Umarak leaves shadow space wounded and stumbles out)

Umarak:”(labored breathing)Cursed toa and mask maker, wound me and get away with it? they will suffer a thousand barbs from me before I am through with the-”

Makuta2:”The mask, give it to me.”

Umarak:”Of course my lord, the mask of ultimate power is yours once more.”

Makuta2”…

(makuta descends the platform in silence and just stares at the “mask” before him)

(he stares a bit longer before picking it up)

Umarak:”This great victory shall be unmaking of th-”

Umarak:”WHAT?! w-what trickery is this? i’ve been deceived!”

Makuta2:”…

Umarak:”Please, my lord, this isn’t what it looks like!”

Makuta2:”…

(makuta drops the mask to the floor)

Umarak:”M-m-my lord?”

Makuta2:”tell me…”

Umarak:”t-tell you what?”

Makuta2:”tell me what would you do if you had a minion that failed you.”

Umarak;”well *ahem* I would…well I-”

(makuta, with lightning fast reflexes and without looking, grabs umarak by the head, nearly crushing his skull in a iron vice grip)

Umarak:”GAAAHHHKKK!!!!”

(makuta pulls him in closer, the sound of umarak’s mask cracking and remaining horn splintering under the pressure can be heard)

Makuta2:”Tell. me. Speak!”

Umarak:”Punish…them for…what was I looking for again?

Makuta2:MY MASTERPIECE! YOU DIMWIT! APPARENTLY YOU CAN’T TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MY LIFE’S WORK AND A PIECE OF GARBAGE YOU HORNED RAT!!!”

Makuta2:”NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT UNTIL YOU RETREVE THE REAL MASK OR ELSE ‘YOUR’ REMAINS ARE WHATS GOING TO KARZAHNI!!!”

(his weapon soon follows)

(Umarak slowly gets up putting his mask back on and retrieves his bow)

Makuta2:”FAIL ME AGAIN,AND MY WRATH WILL BE IMMEASURABLE!!!”

Makuta2:”*exasperated sigh*

Makuta2:”That incompetent fool, his failure will be the death of me.”

Karzahni:”And we wouldn’t want that wouldn’t we? but please do tell i’d like to know.”

Makuta2:”Karzahni? what do you wa-I mean what do you ask of me?”

Karzahni:”I see your having trouble doing what I asked you to do”

Makuta2;”Forgive me my lord, the delay was unintentional…”

Karzahni:”Hey don’t bow and none of that ‘lord’ m’larky you can just call me Karzahni.”

Makuta2:”of course”

Karzahni:”Now, I understand your a busy…whatever you are, but come on this is slower than a sick ussal crab on racing day.”

Karzahni:”So here’s my solution, i’m sending some ’friends’ to help you pick up the pace, though its a surprise i’m not telling you (heh heh) see you later, your ‘help’ should be there soon play nice ok? oh and come meet me later.”

???:”Your path is dark yes, but the light is still within reach for you.”

“Let me tell you a story, long ago, there were two brothers one was good at making things, and the other…not so much really, but they where the first, and so the great beings who created them had this mask, really cool looking elegant, and most importantly, powerful but they couldn’t decide who would wear it so they thought ‘hey lets have them fight and see who wins’ turns out that the great beings kind of played favorites because it was no mystery who won, the victorious brother was granted the mask and privileged with building many great things, the other brother was left with nothing and left in a backwards wasteland to rot for eternity…but those days are long behind me now…”
